Abstract

Abstract Dihydroanthracene (I) is deprotonated to its 9‐anion which is subjected to 5 alkylation reactions with (II) and (V), and (Va) in a reversed order (the carbanion solution is added slowly to the (Va) solution to give (VII) in 60% yield).
