Abstract
Interaction of Schiff's bases of 4-amino-3-methyl-5-styrylisoxazole with m-CPBA in solid state furnishes secondary amides. The reaction of 4-amino-3-methyl-5-styrylisoxazole with phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride and succinic anhydride in solid state gives the products with an opening of anhydride rings. The resulting products are cyclized by using acetic anhydride.
