Abstract

Abstract Hydroxyl‐rich Schiff base ligands prepared from salicylaldehyde (II) and appropriate hydroxyl‐rich prim. amines such as (II) react with Mn(III) acetate (III) or Mn(II) chloride in basic solution of DMF or MeOH with air oxidation generating the monomeric stable Mn(IV) complexes (IV) and (V).
