Abstract
These notes supplement the fresh specimens shown in gross pathology laboratories for VETM 3450 intended to develop competence in pathologic description and interpretation. Topics covered include: introduction to pathologic description and interpretation; recognition of artefacts; use and interpretation of descriptive terms; are necropsy examinations useful to practitioners?; and, pathologic interpretation: case examples.
