Abstract

Abstract The title compound (IV) is prepared from trimethylvinylsilane (I) by three different methods: Addition of nitryl chloride (II) to (I) gives the (1‐chloro‐2‐nitroethyl)silane (III) which undergoes dehydrochlorination upon heating with anhydrous sodium acetate to yield (IV).
