Abstract

The study carried out to determine the composition, density and dominance of weeds in potato fields of Qorveh city of Kurdistan province in 1394. Sampling of potato fields will be done in 3 farms with an area of 15 hectares, in 3 parts of Esfandabad, Chahar Dowley and central part of Qorveh which are climactically different from each other. In each zone of potato fields,8 sampling units with the dimensions 50 × 75 cm with W pattern have been done. Sampling has been done using quadrat after planting potatoes until harvest with interval of 7 days and from each field. Weeds of per sampling unit is dumped by species counted and removde. After identifying and counting weeds using equations (Thomas, 1985) frequency, uniformity, average density, species richness, dominance index, species were calculated. The results showed that 45 species in 21 plant families were identified in the potato fields of the city. Potato Cultivation of Asteraceae and Fabaceae by 10 and 5 of the most species they had. Average weed density between 70/625 to 161 plants were variable m2 .In each region, planting broadleaf species had more spread and compression than narrow leaves; in the study region, among the 45 species collected from potato fields, four species were more important, and there have been as dominant as weed species Amaranthus retroflexus L, Convolvulus arvensis L,chenopodium album L and Lactuca serriola L. The frequency of each of these species at different growth stages and in different regions had different potatoes. Results show that the peak presence of weeds growth in different farms according to the cultivation system was different. using data analysis software SPSS and Excel software for diagramming.
