Abstract

A living Nudibranch specimen belonging to the genus Sclerodoris Eliot, 1904 was dredged on the Amendolara seamount, in the gulf of Taranto. The genus Sclerodoris, which numbers tropical Nudibranch species, has not been previously reported from the Mediterranean Sea.In spite of the difficulty in the identification, the Author believes that the specimen may be referred to the species Sclerodoris cfr.tuberculata Eliot, 1904 from the Indian Ocean.
