Abstract
The purpose of this study was to Investigate of The relationship between personality traits and communication skills with conflict management styles of teachers in the city of babol. The study population, all high school teachers in the city of Babylon (1025 persons). Among them, using the sample table Morgan 280 persons were selected for Cluster sampling. The tools for data collection include the questionnaire of Communicative Skills (Barton, 1991), Five Factor Personality Inventory (costa, mc cera, 1992) and Conflict Management Styles (robbins, 2006). To analyze the collected data, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression techniques were used. The results of correlation analysis showed that the five factors of personality, Neuroticism with style avoidance is positively and significantly (r=0.298), Extraversion with all three styles of conflict management is a significant and positive Openness to Experience with avoidance is negative and significant (r=0.483), agreeableness with solution-oriented style is positively and significantly (r=0.163) and with the control style is negative and significant (r=0.214), and also conscientiousness are positive and significant with solution-oriented style (r-0.296) were related. The other hand regression analysis showed that personality traits and communication skills, the ability to predict the style of control (18.5%), solution-oriented style (14.1%) and style Avoidance (34.7%). Also, Friedman test to check that the predominant style control strategy, is the dominant style of conflict management in this population.
