the Support and Preparation for International Researchers in Education (SPIRE) was launched.SPIRE was a student-led project initiated by two of the authors, Sophia and Sergio who were international PhD students at the time.The aim of the project was to support international students during their Master of Arts (MA) programmes and to help them prepare for their dissertations.In addition, it aimed to establish a mutual research community between PhD and MA students
