Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: 1.To determine the effectiveness of intrathecal baclofen in treating spasticity in children with cerebral palsy. 2.To identify the range of outcome measures used in the evaluation of ITB and to determine what other measures are needed. 3.To determine whether ITB reduces the need for subsequent orthopaedic surgery in children with spasticity. 4.To determine the safety of ITB therapy 5.To consider the economic implications of the therapy
