TRAGIC IN THE NOVELS BY CHYNGYZ AITMATOV: ON THE BASIS OF THE NOVELS FACE TO FACE, FAREWELL GULSARY, THE WHITE SHIP

Chyngyz Aitmatov is one of the world writers who tried to comprehend urgent problems of the war, difficult reality of the social life and social cataclysms of the XX century artistically and put the philosophical, moral-ethical and other ecological global questions point-blank. On the basis of his works of art such issues as universe and a man, a man and a nature, life of certain individual and ideology were included and those issues were studied artistically through the history and personal life. Therefore we are certain to say that tragedy plays the main role in the works of art by Aitmatov. Here the question arises in what sense and how the tragic was shown, what message it carries in his works. We aim to find the answers in three novels by Aitmatov. They are “Face to face” (1957), “Farewell Gulsary” (1966), “The white ship” (1970). These novels were written during the development period of Kyrgyz literature. Secondly, all three novels draw everybody’s attention with the fact that they reflect tragic facets of real Kyrgyz world and way of life. Thirdly, national life elements narrated in these novels touch the problems of the whole human being. Moreover the main characteristics specific to tragic – a tragic situation, a tragic guilt, tragic conflict and tragic life of characters were shown in these novels. On studying explication of tragic in the works by Ch.Aitmatov the principle of historicalphilological analysis was used as a methodological basis. Contextual and hermeneutical analyses were used as well
