Abstract
Activation with 11-MeV protons makes possible the nondestructive determination of trace impurities in samples of Ag, Al, and Co. The determination of 30 elements in Al and Co and 24 in Ag was studied. Protons were chosen because these particles are the only ones which allow a nondestructive determination in Ag and Co at the level of traces without interference. The case of Al was studied although neutrons can be used because proton activation allows the easy determination of elements other than those determined in neutron irradiation. (tr-auth)
