Abstract

This book is written for anyone who wants to learn how to become a Visual Basic .NET programmer. Visual Basic is one of the most widely used programming languages in the world. It is also one of the easiest programming languages to learn, so it is a good choice as a first language. Visual Basic .NET can create any type of .NET application just like any other .NET language. In this book you will be introduced to the VB.NET language. You will learn many fundamentals of VB.NET such as: - An overview of Visual Studio .NET - An introduction to the VB.NET language - Object Oriented Programming principles - Event Programming Basics - Variables, Operators and Logic Flow - Creating Classes and Methods - Using the StringBuilder class - Application Design Principles By the end of this book you will have learned several very useful techniques that will allow you to create a simple VB.NET application and have a good foundation on which to continue on with more advanced courses.
