Abstract
Summary The quick development of broadband and high-density seismic acquisition methods is due to their recognition as strong and effective means for acquiring datasets that prove rich enough not only to dramatically improve the seismic imaging, but also the overall reservoir characterization. The application of high-productivity Vibroseis methods enables enforcing these methods at justifiable and acceptable costs, while not postponing the delivery of field data. As broadband and high productivity acquisitions are steadily spreading in Russia, the present abstract provides an overview of how the introduction of these methods affect seismic crews, with a focus on Vibroseis equipment and acquisition methods. Perspectives for further developments will be discussed as well.
