Abstract

South Africa has reached a pivotal stage in its history. The choice facing the nation is between democratic politics on the one hand, or domination politics of some kind or the other. What are the articles of faith of democratic politics? How do these differ from that of domination politics? How can democracy be realised in a deeply divided society such as South Africa?
