Abstract

This specially-commissioned gallery text was produced for 'Migrating Eye', a solo-exhibition by Lotte Gertz that took place at Intermedia Gallery, CCA Glasgow. The exhibition consisted of a series of new works produced during and since the artist's residency at Cove Park in the spring of 2018, exploring themes of the everyday, typography and personal histories through painting and experimental mark making. The text forms part of an ongoing research project exploring the role of ekphrasis (the literary invocation of visual artworks) in art-writing.
