VALERY BRUSOV’S ESTIMATION OF THE ARMENIAN NATION'S HISTORY

«The Chronicle of the Historical Destinies of the Armenian Nation» supplements rare impartial studies on the Armenian nation in a foreignlanguage (Russian). Being laconic as a chronicler yet accurate as a literature historian, Brusov managed to explain the historical background of the development of Armenian spiritual culture (in part,of the Armenian literature). The author of the article studies the wayBrusov perceived and estimated the Armenian cultural life,underscoring the necessity and urgency for a new qualified Armenian translation of the above-mentioned work.
