Abstract
The transmission line and tower are very hazardous against lightning. In this paper three different tower voltage levels are studied with the help of multi-story model. A 50kA magnitude lightning current has been incident on the tower top. The voltage at different nodes of the tower and across the nodes of the tower are analyzed with the help of EMTP/ATP simulation. The Heidler model is used to develop the lightning.
