Threadfin breams are a commercially important \ngroup of marine fishes in India. Nemipterus randalli \nlocally known as ‘kilimeen’ or ‘Puthiyaplakora’ is \nthe most abundant species contributing 53.5 % of \nthreadfin bream landings in Kerala. A fisheries \nresources assessment survey was conducted at seven \nlanding centers viz., Cochin fisheries harbour, \nMunambam fisheries harbour, Munambam mini \nharbour, Kalamukku, Chellanam, Murikkumpadam \nand Fort Kochi landing centers for three months \nduring December 2016 - February 2017.
