Abstract

The emergence of a container and container ships comes to creation of world container fleet. The aim of this paper is to show the emergence of containerization, as well as the development of container ships by generation, size and capacity. Also, according to the collected date is analyzed and graphically depicted current state of the container fleet in the world and in whose ownership is located. Inside this work has been processed yet coastal liner container shipping, which is an important part of container shipping, and also the current state of the container ship space on the market as well as its importance in the containerization process.
