A Review of Remedial Measures for Groundwater Pollution in Canada

Abstract

Abstract An overview of groundwater contamination and remedial measures undertaken in Canada is presented. Information drawn from a consultant’s report to Environment Canada has been briefly summarized. It is noteworthy that at the majority of the 173 sites identified, substantive remedial actions have been undertaken. In addition, two case histories where remedial actions are currently underway are highlighted.
