Abstract

Interpersonal conflict is usual in human interactions. Difficult moments between coach and athlete in sport are normal and expected. This case challenges students to consider a range of behaviors, types and modes of communication, and provocative interpersonal moments directly related to an incident which took place in training. Students are challenged to decide what to focus on first and what to work on over time with the player and coach involved in the case.
