Abstract

Chapter 4 covers having an online presence (website, Behance, LinkedIn, YouTube, professional networking sites, social media accounts, portfolios on professional organization websites, etc.); professional organizations to join and why they are beneficial/what they offer; and local, national, and international networking opportunities and ways to take advantage of these. This chapter will also cover useful skills to develop that will help you build your brand, such as basic marketing concepts, mastering search engine optimization, understanding indexing, and how and why to keep your content fresh and engaging.
