The aging process causes a decrease in the quality of sleep that occurs due to \nchanges in the circandian process and homeostatic regulation that affects changes \nin normal behavior. Sleep quality can be improved by using non-pharmacological \ninterventions, that is complementary interventions are foot reflexology and \nmassage therapy. This study aims to determine the effect and different effects of \nfoot reflexology and massage therapy on the quality of sleep in the elderly. This \nresearch used method Quasi Experimental Design by using Two Pre-Post Test \nApproach with Group Design, located at RW 8, Kelurahan Jajar, Laweyan, \nSurakarta. The total sample is 16 people. The data obtained were tested by Paired \nSample T-Test and Independent Sample T-Test. Based on the results of the Paired \nSample T-Test that has been done by researchers, it was found that giving foot \nreflexology and massage therapy affect the quality of sleep in the elderly with p = \n0,000 (<0.05) for foot reflexology and p = 0.006 (<0.05 ) for massage therapy. \nWhereas for the different test the effect of using the Independent Sample T-Test \nwas obtained p= 0.049 (<0.05). From the results of the study, concluded that there \nare influences and differences in the effect of foot reflexology and massage \ntherapy on the quality of sleep in the elderly. \nKeywords: Reflexology, massage therapy, sleep quality.
