Proceedings of the 6th ACM SIGCHI New Zealand chapter's international conference on Computer-human interaction: making CHI natural

Our theme for this, the 6th CHINZ is 'Making CHI Natural'. Imbedded computing is a reality: cars, phones, sewing machines and running shoes include computers more powerful than we could have imagined 50 years ago. The challenge for us, as a community of researchers and practitioners interested in human-computer interaction is to inform this work. Too often a concentration on increasingly clever technology has seen the human interface sadly neglected. An important part of meeting the challenge of better computer interfaces is sharing knowledge and ideas amongst ourselves, with our students and with the wider community.CHINZ is the annual New Zealand gathering of the ACM SIGCHI NZ chapter. It is an excellent forum for new innovations and ideas of interest to the international and national community. We received a large number of high-quality submissions from both international and New Zealand based groups.
