Abstract

Pesticides are usually toxic substances used to control diseases, pests or weeds. Human exposure to pesticides can occur through ingestion of contaminated foods, drinking water and animal products. Even at very low levels of exposure such as those verified in coffee beverage, pesticides can have adverse health effects. The present chapter will highlight the main issue concerning pesticide toxicity.
