Abstract

Patient: female, age 22. Missing d.22, pallatally ectopic d.13. main request: one jaw therapy with the best we can achive this case report shows the challenges of aligning a very bad positioned maxillary canine with a very limited techniques. 4 years of pulling and leveling resulted with a nice alignment with optimum results considering the early extractions of 44 and hypodontia of 22. The results of treatment included an intact, properly functioning occlusion, pleasing esthetics, as well as healthy periodontal supporting tissues. We found that creating space previously and then expose surgically with direct bonding of eruption chain, the canine can be brought safely to proper position with predictable results.
