Abstract

The effectiveness of placement and the height of the shear wall in a dual system affect the stability of the structure in resisting lateral forces. The shear wall is a vertical element and can provide lateral stability to the structure by holding the shear and bending moment in the plane caused by lateral forces. The behavior of the frame and shear wall due to the lateral force is different, so in dual system there can be additional shear force on the structure of the column in the upper part of the building. An analysis is needed to find the effective height of the shearwall so that there will be no additional shear force in the columns in the upper part of the building. In this case study used a 15-stories building design with a square-shaped building plan. The analysis using 3D structure modeling with the modification of 2 shear wall layout configurations. The effectiveness of shear wall height was analyzed using the most effective layout configuration, with 2 alternative heights, at 14 and 13 stories. Based on the analysis obtained the effectiveness of shear walls at 13 floors height with the results percentage of portal 82.08% retains the earthquake force in x direction and the shear wall withstand 17.92%. For earthquake force y direction portal retains 31.46% and the shear wall holds 68.54% of the earthquake force. Dinding geser (shear wall) merupakan unsur pengaku vertikal yang tinggi dan dapat memberikan stabilitas lateral kepada struktur dengan menahan geser dan momen tekuk pada bidang datar yang disebabkan gaya lateral. Perilaku rangka dan shear wall akibat gaya lateral berbeda, maka pada sitem ganda dapat terjadi penambahan gaya geser pada struktur kolom bagian atas gedung. Perlu dilakukan analisis untuk mencari ketinggian efektif shearwall agar tidak terjadi penambahan gaya geser pada kolom-kolom bagian atas gedung. Pada studi kasus ini digunakan desain gedung 15 lantai dengan denah gedung berbentuk persegi. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan permodelan struktur 3D dengan modifikasi 2 konfigurasi letak dinding geser. Efektifitas ketinggian dinding geser dianalisis menggunakan konfigurasi letak yang paling efektif, dengan 2 alternatif ketinggian yaitu pada ketinggian dinding geser 14 dan 13 lantai. Berdasarkan analisis diperoleh efektifitas dinding geser pada ketinggian 13 lantai dengan hasil presentase portal menahan 82,08% gaya gempa arah x dan dinding geser menahan 17,92%. Untuk gaya gempa arah y portal menahan 31,46% dan dinding geser menahan 68.54% gaya gempa. Kata Kunci : Dinding Geser, Sistem Ganda, Tinggi Efektif.
