Abstract
This is a brief chapter on what industrial engineering education entails. An ode to industrial engineering is used to convey the versatility and diversity of the profession of industrial engineering. Definitions and explanations are provided on industrial and systems engineering linkages. Of particular interest is the author&s;s personal educational experience at Tennessee Technological University.
