Abstract
We considered the phase noise measurement for stabilized oscillators. It is the phase noise that limits the possibilities of using generators in high demands systems (radars, radio astronomy, telecommunications, and measuring systems). We review the origin of phase noise and phase noise modeling. Together with the requirements for phase noise reducing in oscillators the increases the requirements for the noise measurement. We rewired of stabilized microwave generators, there characteristics and also constructing methods for so generators. Modem microwave generators have an oscillating system with high Q-factor. So the specific of phase noise in stabilized oscillators is their minimization. The basic methods for measuring phase noise are discussed. But only some of them are suitable for measuring the very low level of phase noise in microwave stabilized oscillators. Among the currently available methods for phase noise measurement, those that can be used to measure minimized noise in stabilized oscillators are chosen.
