The masculinity on heroine character in Resident Evil's movie

Masculinity is a trait which is related to the nature of men. Masculinity is not an idea in the head or a personal identity. It is also extended in the world, marked in organized social relation. Therefore, other theory said that masculinity is not about male-ness, it is the combination of thoughts that involve, change, and shape all people. Masculinity has a little about men The method that the writer used to analyse the research question through qualitative method. It means that the data that the writer took can be from a picture in the movie. Because the language in the film we can see through the 'camera eye’. Therefore, to specify this analyses, the writer divided this analysis into two research questions. Firstly, how are the aspects of masculinity shown in Resident Evil's movie? Secondly, how is the masculinity of the heroine portrayed in Resident Evil’s movie? The main theories that the writer use are gender and masculinity theory from R.W. Connell (2005) and supported arguments in this thesis from Judith Halberstam (1998) about female masculine. This thesis focus on masculinity shown in the movie and portrayed in the main character in the film that is a woman (Alice), that in action movie genre usually the main character or hero are men but in Resident Evil’s movie that is women. Female masculinity that appears in the movie through Alice character For the results of this thesis, the writer looks at how masculinity in Resident Evil’s movie show up or appear in this movie. The aspects that make Resident Evil’s movie called as masculine shown through Alice character in this movie. And also this thesis shows how the masculinity is depicted on heroine or Alice's character.In conclusion, that this thesis will be useful for the future and this thesis hopefully can be helpful for everyone who is interested in analyses the same topic about masculinity in woman character.
