This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To determine the efficacy and safety of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the prevention and treatment of bronchopulmonary dysplasia on mortality and other complications of prematurity in infants at risk for or having bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
