Abstract
This paper examined mutual inductance between rectangular coils and spiral coils used in wireless power transfer (WPT) systems. Half analytical and half numerical method have been adopted. Analysis results show that inductance decreases when misalignment increases. The mutual inductance of spiral coils is smaller than that of rectangular coils with same turns and area.
