Abstract

X area is located in the Eastern Zhaozhou depression, Northern Songliao Basin. The deep volcanic reservoir in X shows bright prospect in the exploration ofnatural gas, which is a main deep target zone of gas exploration. But due to the weak study on volcanic reservoir characteristics of X area, it is difficult to make further exploration. Based on the mass information, high resolution and fast computational speed characters ofprestack elastic impedance inversion technique, this paper makes elastic inversion on deep volcanic reservoirs in X area combined with the present seismic analysis data. The result provides that prestack elastic impedance inversiontechnique can be used in effective volcanic reservoir distribution and hydrocarbon-bearing property prediction, which plays an important role in deep volcanic reservoir exploration and development.
