Enhancing Weed Control Efficiency Using Herbicide Mix in Indian Mustard (Brassica juncea)

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during rabi seasons of 2015 to 2016 at Junagadh (Gujarat, India) to study the integrated weed management through manual weeding, herbicides and herbicides mix in mustard [Brassica juncea (L.) Czernj. and Cosson]. The results revealed that among the treatments, pre-emergence application of tank mix oxyfluorfen 0.12 kg ha -1 + pendimethalin 0.45 kg ha -1 fb HW and IC at 40 DAS, oxyfluorfen 0.18 kg ha -1 as pre-emergence fb HW and IC at 40 DAS, and pendimethalin 0.6 kg ha -1 as pre-emergence fb HW and IC at 40 DAS were found effective in reducing number and dry weight of weeds, thus increased growth, yield attributes and yield of mustard along with higher net returns and B:C.
