Abstract

In order to evaluate the specific absorption rate for wireless devices in the MHz band, we propose a method to estimate the electric field intensity generated by small dipole antenna in saline solution using the transmit antenna factor based on the power transfer formula and two antenna method. By introducing the average electric field intensity, we solve some problems caused by inappropriate approximation in our formulation. By comparing the results of numerical simulation and measurement, the validity of the distance property of the transmit antenna factor of the small dipole antenna in the solution is comfirmed. In addition, an example of probe calibration using the small dipole antenna based on our proposal is presented.
