The Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Philology of the Philological Faculty at Lomonosov Moscow State University was established in 1996.TheStaff of the Department includes professors and lecturers of all levels who are specialized in Greek studies. The program of the Department contains a series of courses related to Greek culture from antiquity to modern times. The article deals with the department's programs. The whole course is planned to give to students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Greek philology and Greek culture throughout their studying course. In addition to the teaching aspects, there is a description of the scientific skills and work of the department.
