Abstract

Both the logistic curve and the Gompertz curve are used to fit the data of growth processes. In this paper, a comparison between the Gompertz and the logistic curve has been performed to find out the more favorable curve in fitting the growth data. In order to do this, we have discussed how both the curves behave under different constraints and also have discussed about their points of inflection and growth rates.
