Abstract
Recent years have seen the demand from the industry for engineering graduates with diverse skills; not only technically sound but also capable of dealing with other aspects of working life related to what is commonly known as the employability skills. Thus, it is the responsibility of higher education providers (HEP) to ensure that the engineering graduates produced possess all the attributes as required by the industry. This paper presents a study on the quality of engineering graduates of a Malaysian public university. The quality is measured based on the average score given to the engineering graduates by respondents from the industry on a list of graduate attributes which include both technical and generic skills. Analysis is made based on the results obtained from an online survey conducted with suggestions on the way forward for the public university.
