Abstract

The contemporary architecture is often based on our usual methods of energy-focused sustainable buildings. These seem to strive toward excessive insulation and mechanical ventilation to create a sustainable building. It is driven by adding technical measures later in the project rather than creating sustainable architecture. In this report I designed a home which goes beyond the usual methods. The design is based on the Japanase architecture. It is a building that reduces the demand of energy in a less superficial way than most of the contemporary architecture.
