Abstract

The word Radar is Radio Detection and Ranging. In general, Radar system uses electro-magnetic wave that sends energy to search for targets. When target is detected then the portion of energy wills reflect back to the radar which is called as echoes. This echo is processed by Receiver to extract target information such as angular position, speed, Range etc. FMCW radar is frequency Modulated Continuous Wave radar is those that continuously emit electromagnetic energy. FMCW radar is simple, small in size and uses lower transmitting power. In this paper we modulated 10 GHz of FMCW Radar in MATLAB-Simulink. Here we also did Mathematical modeling of radar. In this we generated 10 GHz of FMCW signal which is passed through mixer to get IF signal. IF signal is time domain that converted into frequency domain by using FFT. Range of IF (Beat frequency) is 40 KHz to 400 KHz.
