Abstract
paper demonstrates the application of TOPSIS method using two selected examples. In the first example, it is shown that the best TOPSIS solution is neither closest to the positive ideal solution nor the farthest from the negative ideal In many works on TOPSIS method stands as follows: The basic principle is that the chosen alternative should have the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution and the longest distance from the negative ideal solution.
