An image encryption schemewith public keys and private keys is proposed. In general, chosen/known plaintext attacks are far more effective than the brute-force attack on an image cryptosystem. Besides employinga 300-bit long secret key, the scheme uses different public keys in each encryption process, which makes the known/chosen plaintext attacks infeasible. And the scheme possesses a structure of diffusion-confusion-diffusion, in which the confusion operation is plaintext-related.The simulation results show that the proposed scheme is faster than AES in encryption/decryption speed, and has good key and plaintext sensitivities.
