Abstract
Amongst 31 genotypes, five genotypes namely RVS 2007-6, JS 93–05, RVS 2001–18, JS 20–53, MAUS 158 were found highly resistant against girdle beetle. Lowest stem tunneling at physiological maturity due to stemfly was observed in genotype KDS 753 (13.19). Lowest incidence of semilooper was found in genotype NRC 94 (2.75 larvae/mrl). The data revealed non significant differences amongst various test genotypes with respect to S. litura infestation. Two genotypes namely MACS 1370 and MACS 1407 were recorded lowest incidence of 0.00 larvae/mrl. Nine genotypes viz., (KDS 753, MAUS 61, JS 20–79, JS 95–60, JS 20–89, JS 2003-8, MACS 1340, NRC 94, RVS 2001–15) were categorized as resistant and high yielding (R-HY) against S. litura. Eight genotypes viz., (MACS 1460, RVS 2007-6, JS 335, JS 93–05, AMS-MB 5–19, JS 2071, MACS 1407 and MAUS 158) were found susceptible but high yielding (S-HY Tolerant).
