Abstract

On June 13, Henan Billions increased its rutile TiO[subscript]2 price by Chinese renminbi (Rmb) 500/tonne ($75.45) in China, and by $100/tonne for exports. The company also increased prices for chloride-route TiO[subscript]2 by Rmb 1,000/tonne ($150.9) and by $150/tonne for exports. Foundry grade chromite, 46% Cr[subscript]2 O[subscript]3, currently stands at a range of $225-280/tonne FOB South Africa, while refractory grade chromite, 46% Cr[subscript]2 O[subscript]3, is at a higher $265-290/tonne FOB, according to the IM Pricing Database. According to IM 's Pricing Database, talc prices out of South Africa (pharmaceutical, FOB Durban) stand at between $700-850/tonne. Talc used in cosmetic/paint A grade is at $660-745/tonne (FOB Durban) and paint/soap B grade (FCLs bagged FOB Durban) prices are reported at $500-585/tonne.
