The Bonanza m ining district is located within the Colorado mineral belt, approximately 190 kilom eters south-southwest of Denver, Colorado.The district was actively mined for silver, lead, zinc, copper, and minor gold from 1879 to 1946.Recent studies in the Bonanza district have outlined the possible existence of a caldera with associated deepseated porphyry-type mineralization in the Bonanza area.The present
