Abstract

Variable-Air-Volume Air-Conditioning System (VAV system) is a multi-input and multi-output system. It has multi-variable and nonlinear characteristics, and is coupling between each loop. The coupling exists in each loop so that the control is interfered each other and system stability is affected. Decoupling control technology based on the WNN (wavelet neural network) was used to eliminate the coupling between the temperature control loop and humidity control loop in a VAV system. Its operation condition shows that the decoupling control based on the WNN is feasible to the decoupling control of the two loops in a VAV air-conditioning system.
