Abstract

About 2/3 of all patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) have tumor recurrences within the first 3 years after diagnosis and primary radiotherapy. Adjuvant chemotherapy showed neither improvement of prognosis nor prolongation of the relapse-free intervall as compared to radiotherapy alone. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
