Abstract

Relay protection is a key part of the operation in the power plant, it can protect the safety of power plants. With the reform and development of power plants, the safe operation of relay protection is facing greater pressure, it needs to meet the needs of power plants to complete security protection, to avoid causing safety incidents. Power plant operation is very focused on the application of relay protection, through the protection of power plants to maintain the safety. However, the safety management of power plant relay protection involves a wide range, and requires a high degree of professionalism and technical, in the relay protection work has a greater difficulty. Therefore, this paper analyzes the role and significance of relay protection, combined with the application of power plant relay protection, put forward the precautions for safe operation of relay protection. The implementation of these theories can improve the accuracy of the relay protection in the power plant, ensure the normal work of the relay protection equipment in the event of failure, ensure the safe production of the power plant and improve the economic benefit of the power plant.
