Abstract
The power transmission characteristics of forward-flyback converter with single switch and single transformer is analyzed in detail. The proportion change relationship between the forward and flyback power in the dynamic ranges of input voltage and load is studied. The maximum forward power is deduced and the approach to improve the power capacity of this converter is obtained. Finally a 480W prototype (195Vac-265Vac input, 48Vdc output) is built to verify the correctness of theoretical analysis.
